Hylant Group Welcomes Rene Shoptaw
NASHVILLE, Tennessee - August, 2007 - Hylant Group welcomes Rene Shoptaw to its newly established Nashville office. Ms. Shoptaw will serve as a Commercial Lines Client Services Manager for the full service insurance brokerage firm. In this role, she will be responsible for managing the administrative needs and insurance placements for commercial lines business.

Through the years, Ms. Shoptaw has held a number of industry related positions contributing to her client management experience. Most recently, she was Account Manager with Gallagher Healthcare Insurance Services. In this role, she was responsible for the coordination of renewals, maintenance of reinsurance claims files, development of premium calculations, and billings for numerous healthcare entities. Ms. Shoptaw also served as an Underwriting Coordinator for Ardent Health Services. There, she was the sole underwriter for a $1.6 billion / 14 hospital health services company which owned a single-parent offshore captive. She coordinated renewals for all lines of coverage including hospital professional liability and general liability, property, pollution, automobile liability, workers' compensation, executive liability, fiduciary, crime, and employment practices liability.
Ms. Shoptaw received her Associate in Science in Business Administration from Tidewater Community College. She will receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in May 2008 from Aquinas College and is currently completing her Associate in Risk Management designation from the American Institutes. Rene is also a content reviewer for the new Professional Liability Underwriting Society educational materials.
